Cookies & Tracking Policy
Last Updated: October 26, 2026 • Transparency & Cookie Disclosure
Our Zero-Ad-Tracking Pledge
Consultansy operates a transparent reverse marketplace with 0% project commission. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or data broker beacons. We only use strictly essential cookies and security tokens necessary to keep your account authenticated, isolate contact details from public exposure, and process secure unlock fee transactions.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) by your web browser when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device across page visits, maintain your signed-in state, prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and securely transmit state data between client and server.
In addition to cookies, modern web browsers offer local and session storage. Consultansy uses these web standards minimally and strictly for functional preferences (such as light/dark mode and dismissible consent notices).
2. How Cookies Align With Our Reverse Marketplace Model
Our platform model is built around data minimization, user dignity, and confidentiality:
3. Inventory of Cookies Used on Consultansy
The following table details the specific cookies and storage items set by Consultansy:
| Cookie Name | Category | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| consultansy_session | Strictly Essential | Stores cryptographically signed JWT token for authenticated client, consultant, and administrator sessions. Encrypted with HTTP-Only and SameSite flags. | Consultansy (First-party) | 7 Days |
| consultansy_cookie_consent | Functional Preference | Records your acknowledgment of our Cookies Policy so the notification banner is not repeatedly displayed. | Consultansy (Local Storage) | 1 Year |
| data-theme | Functional Preference | Remembers your user interface display preference (Light Mode or Dark Mode). | Consultansy (DOM Attribute) | Session / Persistent |
| rzp_device_id / rzp_* | Payment & Security | Set inside the Razorpay payment gateway iframe to prevent fraudulent transactions, support 3D Secure / OTP verification, and satisfy PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance when paying unlock fees. | Razorpay (Third-party) | Session to 1 Year |
4. Payment Processor Cookies (Razorpay PCI-DSS)
When clients unlock verified contact credentials, payments are processed via our partner payment gateway, Razorpay.
- Razorpay sets strictly necessary security cookies to authenticate device fingerprints, prevent automated payment fraud, and process bank OTPs.
- Consultansy does not have access to or store your credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or UPI banking PINs.
- For further details on how Razorpay handles payment tokens and security cookies, review the Razorpay Privacy Policy.
5. Contact Shielding & Anti-Tamper Tokens
Our unique Contact Isolation Shield relies on server-validated authentication tokens:
When you browse quotes on Consultansy, contact details (phone numbers, WhatsApp direct links, and email addresses) are entirely masked. Our backend server actions verify the cryptographic signature in the consultansy_session cookie before unmasking contact information. Disabling or tampering with this cookie will result in an immediate session termination to protect client and advisor privacy.
6. How to Manage and Control Cookies
You have the right to accept, refuse, or remove cookies at any time via your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Third-party cookies > Clear browsing data or block cookies.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data.
